I was just not prepared for facing this... Mentally, mostly, because in hindsight, I had enough ways to save myself. Shotgun box, missile launcher, napalm launcher, running into the lava in hope that demons will kill themselves.
I managed to kill most with shotgun and pistol, teleported around some with staff and phase, but it was just a little not enough...

On the plus side, I was able to advance so far with a very poor luck in drops. Probably only really good thing I found was combat pistol. I was thinking about what to do with it, even considered throwing it away, but then made a stormbolter and realized that best thing in this gun is it's huge clip. Also, triggerhappy works with it, so I had triple burst in 0.085 or so seconds. So, everything was effectively timefrozen while I was shooting - until it's time to reload.

Also, fire resistance was indeed a life saver. Saved my life for sure numerous times. I had to remind myself that I am not, in fact, invincible. And was really curious about what can actually kill me. At last, I got an answer:) Well, whatever kills you makes you stronger. I will be better prepared next time.

Not switching to Tactical Armor at the start of the level is what killed you, I think. Cerberus phaseshift gives a 5% net drop in movespeed, A-modded Tac Armor gives 30% improvement. I don't think the 30% melee resist was worth it. You would have moved significantly faster than the demons, giving you a lot more time to deal with them. Hyperblaster would have probably been better than the assault shotgun, reloading those things takes forever without reloader.

Well, that too. There were not much space where to run, and demons were literally everywhere, but probably I could run in circles.
But mostly, I was just not familiar enough with such particular type of monsters, and too adrenaline-striked to stop and think thoroughly, read their wiki entry, look hard at my inventory, etc.

I tought cerberus armor ms malus was always -30%... let me guess, it's *original* -30% ?

I'll have to try it now :D  I love cerberi toys, but the ms malus is soooo annoying.

Also, I probably never saw an armor under -30% (put gothic aside :p) is it capped, or do I just not pay enough attention ? I remember making cerberus with red and blue armors (a long time ago... when I was young and inexerimented :p), and I think the ms was only -30%

Cerberus has a lot of fixed stats, irrelevant to base armor. Speed, protection, acid/fire/plasma are all fixed.
So, best bet is to make it from something like duelist, or onyx. But phaseshift one also has 30 melee/shrapnel/bullet res, and give set bonus with phase boots. Too bad I found no phase boots. And only duelist armor I have seen that run was picked up by sergeant, that subsequently drown in lava. Bastard.

You had Enviroboots. You could clear this level without touching any weapon.
