I just found my 2 first DS (in the same Ao666 run, didn't even know it could happen, tought you couldn't find a unique again, even if you didn't grab it)...

As far as I know, that can only happen if you didn't try to pick it up the first time.  (I think?  Someone correct me if I'm wrong)

From what I read, most of character (if not all) should be able to wield DS. Does that mean that my character is supposedly able to ? Whatever build I got, current stuff I have, and so ?
Btw, I hope I'm not asking too much ? :/

I tried several things, like dropping all my stuff, getting under 10% hp, BFGing the thing, opening or closing it like if it was a door, (heh.. I got no idea why it would work, but why not ?)... and just don't see what else I could do.
But since I didn't even skill a single point un Bru, had no zerk pack available, and even missed a kill in one level... I wonder if this kind of conditions could prevent me from picking it up. Also, I never play melee, so I'm afraid I'll just never be able to fullfill the conditions.
I'm not planning to spend too much time trying to figure out how to wield it, but I'd prefer my attemps to have some chance of success...

Having Brute isn't enough to pick it up.  Having Berserker isn't enough to pick it up.  Being berserk isn't enough to pick it up.  Having 100% kills isn't enough to pick it up.  I wondered for a while if having low hitpoints or dropping all your stuff would do it, but you seem to have ruled those out too.  :|  Hitting it with the BFG wouldn't be it anyway, because then you wouldn't be able to get it in the special drop in Unholy Cathedral.  People keep saying that the mortems where people got it provide clues, but the hints I get seem contradictory and confusing.  It is quite a mystery!  :|

...And by the way, I am female :-) But well, my nickname hardly gives that away.

I think this is the kind of forum where everyone assumes the others are male until proven otherwise even if we should know better.  :P  You can set your gender in your profile menu to reduce such confusion.  :)

People keep saying that the mortems where people got it provide clues, but the hints I get seem contradictory and confusing.

I wouldn't read too much into it.  You can do it the easy way or the hard way.

I'm trying to be mysterious but still mildly helpful.

A big and total congratulations on my part :). I initially considered the Ao666 like the ultimate boredom challenge, I'm happily surprised that there are people willing to go through with that - a promise is made to make the game more interesting during that grind!

And needless to say, it's always nice to have another female DoomRL player on the forums :D.

To prevent from dying of boredom (in my "defense" I killed every single demon up until about level 100) ;-) Seriously, will all the equipment I got on me and my traits it was no challenge at all anymore. I used like 2 medkits if even on the last 500 or so levels and besides that the soulcubes, health globes and whatnot were sufficient.

This is Ao666. It is supposed to be awful boring grinding.
Grind always smells this way - even if it is Korean MMORPG game.

I think this Angel needs a badge for YAAM UV or N! ...

And by the way, I am female :-)

From what I've seen, things that aren't picked up don't get registered.  I've used special mod packs and skulls from the floor and they don't get added to my player history.   The same goes with scavenging weapons with MSc, which is probably a bug (and I was coming to report).

Oh, it's definitely still a grind; it's funny what people will endure just for the right to brag about the fact that they endured it.  :)

Lots of people say that it turns out to be so obvious once you figure it out.  I think they're wrong.
