Yeah, or you just walk so that the doors unlock, then fallback to a camping spot (I set my max waiting to 10000, or 20000 :p). Better not take the map for that option, btw.

Since AoI is a challenge, it shouldn't really be taken in account in difficulty. But I agree, those guys probably hurt a lot (atm, I think I only ate super shottys, plasma rifles from captains (what ??!) and laser rifles)
Speaking of AoI makes me realize the large health globes in this level might be of some use :)  Anyway, I think it's way easier than the nightmare demons & vicious areas from phobos lab.
