From the Wiki assembly page:

"Assemblies can also be modded in limited circumstances. If the player has the second level of Whizkid before the assembly is finished, they may then add a single mod to that assembled item."

I did indeed make a nano-modded tac RL before (not a nanomanufacture RL, stupidly enough, but hey). Now I want to slap a P-mod on a storm bolter , and the game says I can't. Both the tac RL and the storm bolter were made from regular weapons.

Storm Bolter is unmoddable.

Really? I never noticed, though it's possible I forgot to even try. Good to know that I don't need the second level of WK to get it and certainly don't have to wait for it before assembling.

Ah well, there you have it then. Didn't find it on the appropriate wiki pages. Does this apply to more assemblies, or just the bolter?

Incidentally:

I thought I'd update the Storm Bolter Wiki with this info. Turns out there are 2 Storm Bolter Wiki pages:

1 accessed via 'Assemblies': http://doom.chaosforge.org/wiki/Storm_bolter
1 via 'Weapons': http://doom.chaosforge.org/wiki/Storm_bolter_pistol

The latter, I think, is inaccurate, since a storm bolter can be made from different pistols. I've updated both, but I think one should be deleted and all links to it replaced. Haven't looked into how this works myself yet; if anyone feels the need, please go ahead. Otherwise I'll try and fix it sometime soon.

So, am I to take it that my T-modded storm combat pistol that my Sharpshooter made in 0997 is a bug?
