I've been playing DooMRL for a little under a week now, and I was fairly excited when I finished Ao100 for the first time. There's nothing special about the game, just wanted to share my achievement with all of you.

According to my mortem files, my first one was created on April 24th, so 5 days ago it seems.

I played far too much ADoM years ago, and unfortunately most RL's I play tend to inherit a lot of the play style I used in it. Depending on the game, that could be a blessing or a curse.

I don't see anything really wrong with the build.

Your luck is absolutely terrible, if Lava Armor(/Necroarmor, but Lava Armor is arguably better if you keep up with it.) and Nuclear Burst/Super Shotgun is the best you found, but nothing wrong with the actual build. Kudos on getting through with just that. :)

(pssst Gothic Boots aren't worth it as general equips, speed boosting boots are better. Having said that, they're okay anyways, at least you had practical immunity to damage floors. But they're better off being swapped on and off for high lava/acid floors.)

I had a hard time finding boots and mods and was going for a tankier build than speed just so I would get blown away half way through. The boots definitely helped with keeping the Lava Armor repaired as 1 damage = 5%, and in my run enviro suits were extremely scarce. The one I had in my inventory was from around F70, and I only managed to see about 2 after that.

I think it'll take some getting used to, as I'm used to being MUCH more fragile in games, but I'll adapt!

Huh, a burst nuclear plasma rifle. I should have thought of that... would be great with my ammochain build. I wonder if I can still make it burst if I already have sniper on it?

Edit: And the answer is no... no I cannot. Oh well, still got 500+ levels to go, I'll find another.
