Presumably the combat arms branch of the space marine corps involved in the Mars moon bases is a male-only institution.

As such, even for a female player, a female doomguy wouldn't necessarily make sense - nor would it have any impact on gameplay, especially in console mode.

This can be done in a mod considering there's already an old school version done.
hell i could probably quickly wrap up the sprite if someone wants to mod it.
