Potman:
It's just that I've played Nethack much longer than I've either drawn or spoken Japanese.

TFoN:
Hey, Nethack skill means skill at and understanding of: myth, geek humor, game balance, patience, an uncanny ability to wish wisely and, most of all, RNG worship put to practical use. Oh, and an ability to avoid typos. All together I'd say that's worth quite a bit :)
BTW, regarding the original subject, I've never understood why some people find code to be ugly.
I.e.
--- Quote ---Your code is not as ugly as you imagine.
--- End quote ---
I think code is as beautiful as any other art or science can be. Although there are some major differences, I'm often as fascinated by it as I can be by, say, wildlife and its flowing harmony. And though I myself haven't written much code in my life, what I have I cherish.
Kornel, I'd really like to hear more about your opinion here.

--- Quote from: RickVoid on May 01, 2007, 13:13 ---Actually it was a joke. I was suggesting the your NetHack skills were more important than your other skills.
However, once explained, the joke ceases to be funny. :(

That actually made me laugh out loud. :D
