Everybody's Free to Develop Roguelikes!

TFoN:
Inspirational indeed :)

Potman:
I'd develop my own roguelike right away, but I can't program a single bit, and don't have enough patience to learn. I mean, I'm already learning both drawing and Japanese, and I'm grandmaster-level Nethack player: I can't possibly go and learn anything else anymore. Three traits is my max, even if one of them's pretty limited.

Which is the limited one? Drawing or Japanese? :)

Potman:
Nethack one: Both drawing and Japanese, once mastered, will be quite diverse and practical. Nethack, then again, is just about a single game.

I guess you understood the word 'limited' in a wrong way.

RickVoid:
Actually it was a joke. I was suggesting the your NetHack skills were more important than your other skills.

However, once explained, the joke ceases to be funny. :(
