Before him 39 brave souls have ventured into Phobos:
 36 of those were killed.
And 1 couldn't handle the stress and commited a stupid suicide.

Some rumours though, say that the Cyberdemon was killed already!
Is he immortal? 2 souls claim to have killed him...
2 killed the bastard and survived.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Now with mods AoMr game is really easy. Especially with bug that i described in Bug Reports.)) It's like AoB of previous version now: untill you get good mods and traits, you have REAL problems to kill anything. But after some moment this pistols becomes more dangerous than BFG, or LS. After i started to shoot JC with pistols, he was able only to reload his RL before his death, nothing more. The same with Mortuary. Even when i faced 6 BoHs, 2 Avs, 3 Cacodemons, and lots of weak monsters, they have fired at me only 2 or 3 times before they all died.

5% that i haven't killed was from the Armory(but i'm not sure that only from there). I entered it with 19% health only to shoot anything that i can shoot without health loss, and then escaped.

Congrats!

Out of curiosity, why did you go Fin->Fin->DG? Did you not have enough weapon mods?

Thanks!

I used tactic from previous version, so i went for use of 2 pistols. But now it seems to me that 2 pistols are useless after you get enough mods. Reloading of second pistol takes quite a lot of time, so one modded pistol works better than two. But i haven't know that at that time, so i picked DG. I had 3 mods, so, imho, better i pick Fin->Fin->WK.

Congrats. I tried playing an AoMr game without SoG (or Fin), cleared Hell's Arena which was a good start, but clearing all levels by the time I reached Hell I hadn't found any mods except the one in CC, which turned out to be only weapon speed anyway. I've probably just had really bad luck, it seems to take forever to kill anything.. I'm thinking of quitting this one, the last maze of rooms did my head in. I can't imagine how I'm going to survive an Arena level unless I run for it. I think without mods AoMr might be nearly impossible now, well unless you don't go for 100% kills.

AoMr just seems a generally difficult challenge to me. Or maybe its that new AI, as I've only played an AoB and then AoMr games.

...so dualgunner is nerfed now thanks to Whizkid? Could someone explain this one to me?

Personally I never even understood why finesse was more effective then leveling up dualgunner. Isn't 20% faster better than 10% faster?

Depends on if you find mods, but yeah because you can't mod your 2nd pistol, it lets you down compared to your first pistol.

The way DG seems to work, you fire 2 pistols for slightly slower, but it has a hidden "penalty", namely your new reload time (R, special reload that is) is roughly doubled if reloading both pistols. So if your first pistol is vastly superior, you're basicly slowing yourself down by shooting and reloading the second pistol, because if you just fired and reloaded your best pistol it would be quicker and better. IMO dual pistols wasn't much of a mathematical improvement over single pistols in 0.985 either, because of the reload and fire rate penalty.

The reason why finesse was "better" (its not in 0.987, 2*DG is equal/better), was because of how finesse and SoG apparently worked. It wasn't so much as 20% and 10%, as -200 and -100 energy to fire respectively, whereas DG was *1.4, *1.2 and *1.0 energy. The way the maths worked out, taking a level of finesse was slightly better than taking an additional level of DG.
