I had the Inquisitor set by floor 157. It's so strong on every build, but especially one whose main weakness is not being able to get hellrunner. Having a ton of move speed on indestructible armor and boots is so helpful. The phaseshift set (with onyx armor) was also great but not as great as the Inquisitor set since I got knocked around too much. Even with the upcoming resistance nerfs to both marines and berserk, the 30% energy resists on Malek's armor get a berserk marine up to 90% to all energy resists (100% fire, of course, if you get the set).
Nightmare arachnotron caves were the only serious threat for most of the run. Finding good enough cover in a cave can be impossible. Once I had reloader 3 (and later, an infinite-firing rocket launcher) I could at least rocket jump across the map quickly in search of cover or the exit.
I tried to get all the assemblies and missed one (in addition to the two cursed armor assemblies being mutually exclusive). Up until about floor 500 I was trying very hard to scour the maps for nano packs/computer maps and minimize the damage mancubi (and also other enemies, but mostly mancubi) did to the environment. If I didn't do that the run would've taken a lot less time. I eventually realized that since I was bottlenecked by nano packs, filling my pokédex would be faster by doing normal runs and finding schematics and rare mods in Armory/Deimos Lab.
I made cybernano medical armor at the end so I could test if I could overflow the damage counter and reset it to 0 by taking 65,536 damage. It didn't work.
My first attempt at the run was with a scavenger technician build, but I died on floor 46 in a nightmare arachnotron cave. I had gotten a nano mod by that point and didn't think about the fact that getting a blue power armor and homing phase devices was kind of important for that contingency. I don't even know how I was going to get a good enough late game build with that master trait.
