Hugo, still focused on the rat, takes a moment to notice and understand Josie's gestures, but then he acknowledges them, replaces the closet and muttering excuses, leads the guest to the other room.

Yup, I'm here... I'll reread the story thread to get back into it and probably post something in a few hours... =)

A 44% green armor is not special =P
Looking closely at your inventory, you should have definitely tossed not only that, but the unmodded steel boots, the plasteel boots, the pistol and either the chaingun or the plasma rifle. Despite all that, you seem to be pretty well stocked with ammo there, got an emergency phase, just enough medkits (special mention goes to not having too many medkits!)...
What you're missing is a rocket launcher (busting down walls is very useful), homing phase (probably bad luck though) and some space for some odd mods you might find and not use right away and some extra items like skulls or a shockwave pack... And backup armours in good condition. Otherwise the inventory looks good.

Requests For Features / Re: Automatic medpack use.

The idea with a special auto-medpack item... isn't that something medical (power)armour should do? I believe that the current consensus is that these armours could use a buff... how about making them release their healing power in "bursts" - when you drop under 20% HP, let them use up 20% of durability all at once to heal you more.

You might want to carry more backup armours. Plus when an your armour drops under 50% durability, it's generally a good idea to switch to another one. Non-exotic and unmodded armours under 25% are rarely worth carrying at all.

I'm not sure about the exact numbers, but I think EE and SoB (Eagle Eye/Son of a Bitch) are better to boost your rapid-fire DPS, and as an added bonus, they are required for Cateye. Additionally, while Fin might allow you to shoot more bursts in the same time, SoB allows you to kill enemies in less bursts, which not only gives you the same effect, but also saves ammunition. Personally I take finesse only when I need WK (Whizkid) most of the time.

Here's a quick question - I was looking at the cybie entry on the wiki and holy shit - they can use items? Does that mean cybies can equip armours on Ao100? Man, that's a scary thought.

Cybie is a beast before you learn to deal with him. The two best approaches are dodging all his shots with dodgemaster (with practice, it becomes trivial to kill him without taking damage) and getting a lot of protection and blasting at him as fast as you can (this one overlaps with melee).
Int 2 and cornershooting would probably not helped that much, since A) cybie can see farther than most monsters, B) he shoots at your cover if you try to cornershoot. It's still preferable to eating rockets directly though.
Save that red armor from Phobos Anomaly, and consider making it fireproof, as has been said. Just remember that fireproof armour actually increases melee damage taken, so keep your distance if you have it.

I would strongly advise you to go for a master trait as soon as possible. Most of them are really that good.
Using the staff against lost souls is kinda suboptimal, since it deals fire damage which the lost souls resist, but if it worked, who am I to argue with it? In any case, if you feel like experimenting with special levels (and you probably should, since you don't know them all yet), be sure to have a homing phase handy to make a quick escape if things go badly... not every special level can be escaped easily...
Oh, and bulk mod on a nuclear plasma rifle is a good idea, since it allows you to shoot more before waiting to recharge.

It's already in the repo as at now.
Wow... awesome! Once again, I am in your debt.

Personally, I've skipped the unchained court (the version after beating Hell's Arena), Mortuary and Lava Pits on most of my runs until I was able to beat the game on UV most of the time. Oh, and the Unholy Cathedral. I rarely venture there outside a dedicated melee build.

Discussion / Re: Acronyms for Noobs
« on: September 02, 2013, 04:50 »
Hi and welcome!
I'd like to add that the acronyms of master traits are a bit unintuitive in that they are always preceded my M for master, so MVm is Vampyre, MAD is Army of the Dead, MSc is Scavenger etc. And you can check out a lot of stuff on the wiki.
There are obviously spoilers galore there, depending on what you consider a spoiler. For example, I decided never to look up the different before discovering them myself, though most of the people here do. (and despite having a couple of diamonds, I still don't know most of the master assemblies).
