Revs are evil, but trying to kill them with a shotgun and no MAD won't help you at all. If you have to fight a Rev you need something capable of dealing with his huge armor.

It feels very easy at start, then you just make a small mistake and a former commando or something will show you your mortem.

Nice read.

I disagree with some stuff:
- The Mortuary is a great place to visit if you have a homing phase device, you can get 3 Red Armors, 1 Supercharge, 1 large med-pack without any risk, possibly more.
- Melee builds: Blademaster is an awesome trait because if you're berserking or if you have a LS you basically get free kills whenever you get next to something. In an Arachnotron Cave for instance, you almost never get caught flatfooted. However it only shines with large amounts of monsters. For low difficulty I'd probably go with Bru2->Ber->TaN or Bru2->TaN. This is also valid if you happen to find an early Butcher's Cleaver.

I'm afraid Dervis doesn't have enough place in his infobox to fit 8 new custom titles :P.

But honestly this idea sounds great! It would be far better however, if I finally managed to implement game replay system :/.

Also, I can supply edited level 1 save files for truly custom compos -- like setting up a startup with dual cursed blasters :P (and some additional hindrance).

We'll just manage somehow! :P

Master Trait:  Mystic Punch
Treats chainguns as melee weapons.
Requires:  Triggerhappy, Berserker
Blocks:  Ironman, Tough as Nails

Well, shooting enemies with a chaingun is pretty much the same as punching people in the face, right?  The only real difference is that you're using bullets rather than fists.

Remember, investing in two difference trait branches could "proof" to be difficult.  This is definitely balanced!  +9 damage and +6 to hit per shot and a chance of berserk on a chaingun is barely enough to compensate for the downsides of this choice.

I don't have access to the beta - but there's an example of an overcharged plasma rifle message log in this mortem with the latest public version, .9.8.10:

The message log only has messages for hits, but there it shows 11 hits.  Unless somehow accuracy had a huge penalty for overcharged plasma rifles (29 misses along with the 11 hits), it definitely isn't 40 shots.

It only doubles shots fired and adds +1 damage i think.

On another subject, the new Plasma Rifle has +2 accuracy (says +1 in the wiki).

I'm sure that this fits the requirements for Masochist Platinum, at least.

Could you have done it without Ironman as well as without TaN? You would have gotten Masochist Diamond in 9.9.

The dominant build in 0.9.8.10 (Cateye-SoB) hasn't quite made it into 0.9.9 so you shouldn't take this game as example for badges.

I thought I would need at least a Butcher's Cleaver to get this badge, but when I saw a Berserk Pack right next to the entrance to Hell's Arena... Why not?
Berserk ran out just after the first wave, yet I managed to get a Berserk out of a demon to clear 2nd wave only using a small med-pack.
First Baron I'm forced to use a large medpack... I get a lucky Berserk and finish him off.
Second Baron, I use my second and last medpack but get no Berserk hits... I kill him with 2% hp left... Wooo!!!

The RNG decided to punish me with no medpacks so I died shortly after. Anyway, one of the hardest badges earned!
