Yes i know you have to meet certain requirements but what are they? [its really pissing me off because when i get the You feel there is something really valuable here!its usually the dragonslayer]

From the two mortems I've seen, the mostly likely means of qualification are the Berserker trait, Tough as Nails, or to be playing the Angel of Berserk challenge mode, though I really doubt Kornel would restrict the use of a unique to a challenge mode.

In case you're just being dense rather than sarcastic, it's the circlejerk that deleted my post detailing, in spoiler tags, the method by which the Dragonslayer can be picked up.

Because god forbid people not have to jump through dumb hoops to be part of the Exclusive Secret Anime Sword Club.

Why? Someone figured it out, and decided to share. Is the secret of the overpowered anime reference so important that information has to be actively suppressed?

In any case, that policy may need another look, since I'm far from the only person to know, and very from the only person pissed off by the attitude taken to the secret. Others are going to try and spill it, and they're not going to be nice enough to spoiler it.

Frankosity, you have to understand that communities make their own rules by which they abide. Majority of people on CF seems to feel that keeping DS secret adds to the overall atmosphere of the game (for lack of the better term). While it is true that some people will be frustrated by us keeping this secret, at the same time as many people or perhaps even more will enjoy it, because it adds a small degree of mystery to the game AND gives obtaining DS sense of accomplishment. Before DS appeared same thing happened to JC - JC's existance and way of getting to him is pretty much common knowledge by now, but before it leaked it also was a guarded secret. The community prefers it this way, and because of that it would be wiser of you to abide that, lest you want to start a flamewar.

I understand this. Games like Nethack have communities built on spoilers. On the other hand, the difference here is that the moderators of the Nethack community don't actively delete people's posts for spoilers. The fact of the matter is that the cat's out of the bag now, like it was with JC, and now it's up to the community whether or not thye want to spoil themselves, just as it should be.

We are perfectly aware, Frankosity, that the secret is spilled, precisely on Something Awful forums in this thread (http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3246511&pagenumber=6) (posted for anyone looking to spoil himself), and AFAIR somewhere on the Bay12 forums.

However, it is our right as a community to make fun about it here, on our forum. I wasn't the person who started the "no DS spoilers policy", however I really liked the attitude to it that spontaneously appeared here on CF, and I'm willing to defend it.

What is **not** welcome here however, are posts in the form of:

Every community has it's own rules, and the right to uphold it. If you want to be a part of a given community, you try to uphold it's rules, and by no means go offending people for whatever rules they chose to follow. Please refrain from such offensive language in the future.

...and now Kornel does a silent change in 0.9.9.2 that changes the DS prereqs to something similar, and screws the spoilered players up

Its actually more likely that he'll add the ARM CANNON and that'll become the well guarded secret #2.

Also I have to say I'm slightly sad now that I know it and don't need to try out the theories anymore on the hope to find it, and slightly glad to know one of them was actually correct.
