Both guards were promptly gunned down - perhaps if they'd spent more time shooting and less asking for surrender, they might have accomplished more...

The last shots missed the servomech, however, which in turn took aim at the closest target, that being Roshal. Its targeting program didn't appear to be up to snuff, however, as the shots missed by a narrow margin.

(Short and sweet this time... neeext!)

Identifying the servo-mech as the last remaining threat, Ira took quick aim and unloaded another burst from her weapon; still being caught up in the adrenaline of the situation, she aimed for the center mass.

The burst hit the servomech and managed to put a noticeable dent in the casing, but didn't seem to cause it much in the way of serious harm.

Mad attempts to gun the mech down with a violent burst, jumping away from his cover.

Viggo shot at the mech, hoping to disable it.

Matt's shots missed the servomech by a narrow margin. Viggo, however, had far less luck - his weapon, whether due to a construction fault, a cartridge fault, or simply poor maintenance or jam-clearing, suffered a critical malfunction. Put simply, it blew up in his hand. Viggo's armour managed to intercept the flying pieces of metal, and he was left holding the handle with a few leftover twisted pieces hanging off it, but the weapon itself was pretty much beyond recovery.

And the servomech was still functional.

Roshal turns and fires at the servomech.

The servomech suffered a hit to its treads, damaging one, though not to the point of rendering it inoperable. The servomech was still active as well, firing off another burst at Roshal, though its targetting systems must have taken some damage, as this time it was further off target than the previous attempt.

(You're still alive, folks, keep up the good work.)

Keeping her objective in sight, Ira kept gunning at the mech; not too concerned about cover due to the mech's abysmal accuracy...

The latest burst of fire, unfortunately, went wide, and didn't even scratch the paint on the servomech.

"There's no method in this madness."
Thus saying, Mad takes a better aim instead of hurling a full burst. Going for the mech's head, he pulls the trigger twice.

The shots pinged off the casing of the servomech, apparently not finding a sufficient weak spot this time.

"Grrr..."  Roshal gritted his teeth and shot at the servotech once more.

The rounds struck the servomech's head, and judging by the shower of sparks that flew out in turn, the bullets didn't do the mech's sensor systems any favours. It was still active, however, as another burst of fire from its weapon signified. Closer to the target than the last time, by some miracle, but still it failed to actually hurt anyone.

"That does it,"  Roshal muttered as he took aim at the servomech's sensors and fires once more.
