'The victors I know knew better than to pick the corpses of the fallen like a pack of crows. Besides' his voice turned surprisingly dry. 'It is my duty... I swore to honour those that fought for their case, no matter what would it be. You are disgracing the body of great warrior. You are disgracing the very memory of him.'

- "Funny how moments ago you said to said 'great warrior' that there will be no memory or mourning left after him. Either way the fact that you chose to honor him doesn't mean we have to follow. Don't know about the others, but I am not going to let something worth selling or using go to waste just because it's stuck on a corpse..." - Ryltar paused - "...not that this particular corpse has anything worth my notice."

'Don't you accuse me of hypocrisy, drow, for I already regret those words' replied Tristan dryly. 'Do not forget, that if it was not for me, my shield and armor, you could be lying dead here instead of him. And that I am not especially fond of company of petty thieves and grave-pickers.'

"Say what you will. I AM taking the helmet." Aden then puts the helmet in his backpack.
"The rest...fine, we will put it up to a vote. A vote for yay is that we take the rest of the gear. Nay is we leave it behind "in some way that befits his memory." and so far, there is one Yay and one Nay. What say the rest of you?"

'Put. This. Helmet. Down' sneered Tristan. 'Why do you insist? It is not even magical.'

- "And you know that - how exactly? You say you aren't fond of 'company of thieves'. Well I'm starting to get tired of comany of overzealous fanatic. Open your eyes and look at the world for a change, instead of your religious fantasy. Should this thing be magical, and not cursed - and note we do not know which it is - leaving it here to rust is a waste only an mal'ai would make" - rogue snarled.

'Say what you want, believe what you want' dryness disappeared from Tristan's voice. He calmer than ever. 'Even if you are right, I firmly believe that there are some principles worth adhering. And respect for everyone, foes included is definitely one of them'

"Well...um..you see..." Aden fumbles with words a bit, before deciding to reveal something that only Norian would know. "My...Grandfather, was a very powerful...warlord. He...defended countless lands from goblins, ogres, orcs...you name it, he fought it...and his helmet was one of the most magnificent things i have ever seen. One day, he was felled in battle, his helmet lost, and ever since that day, I have had a fascination with helmets of many kinds, and maybe hope to one day encounter the Uthadar family Heirloom, The Helmet of Aleth-Ku Uthadar. That is one of the things that fundamentally drives me, Paladin. Just as your god drives you. I have a feeling that somehow, this helmet holds a clue, but I am not sure what."

Off to the side, Ma'kirr sat stretched out. Unfortunately her companions' arguing was starting to get in the way of her relaxing. "I swear if they don't shut up soon, I'm going give 'em each a good thumping..." she muttered, tightening her grip on her greatspear.

Tristan slowly shook his head in surprise.

'So... you're not taking it for petty, despicable gain' he paused, his voice softened. 'I think... I believe that I can understand. Well then, keep it. But just promise, please, that one day, you will lay this helmet to a proper grave so this man, despite all of his vile acts will not be forgotten. Please, just please.'

'And you, drow, if you value your fingers, you better keep them off the armor' he added, turning towards Ryltar.

"Thank you my friend." Aden bows.
"Of course, we now have the issue of the rest. I no longer have an active interest in it. if the rest wish to keep it, it's up to them." Aden then goes over next to Ma'kirr, sits down, takes out the helmet and looks carefully over it for any clues about his grandfathers helmet. He notices Ma'kirr staring with annoyance at the rest of the group "Ma'kirr. Calm. You're a monk, I thought they trained you in ways to block out the rest of the word in order to achieve balance." He then keeps looking at the Castellans helmet.

'This is enough, drow.' said Tristan. 'One more such idle threat, and we will see how well can you fare in fair combat.'

Ma'kirr laughed at Aden's remark. "You make it sound as if all monk are the same. Monks are martial warriors that follow an ideal and unify under Orders. There are many many Orders in the world. Mine follows two concepts. Being centered -which is not the same as being balanced- and absolute freedom. You can do, act, talk, feel, go wherever and however you wish and at the end of the day, it all comes down to you and how you want to go through life. As long as you don't skew your judgment, the Order accepts decisions you make."
