Ryltar didn't seem to have any comments this time. Instead he simply moved in and took down zombie near Saliak, and then turned his attention to one of rotters attacking Tristran.

The zombies were easy to hit, and seemed to fall apart at the lightest touch, but there were still quite a few of them... and another threat just reared its head, as the shifting grave soil parted and three more zombies crawled out, not quite as decayed as the rotters surrounding you... and a bit more dangerous, it seemed. One approached Tristan, its arms reaching out to sieze the fallen paladin, but he pushed it back with his shield. Ryltar, however, occupied with cutting down lesser zombies, would have been seized had Tristan not put himself in the drow's place. As it was, the fallen paladin got dragged back towards the gate. A third one went for Saliak, grabbing him and dragging him back to the other side of the hill in front of the gate. The other zombies lurking around there took the opportunity to seize upon this readily provided meal, and though they were unable to do much harm to Saliak, Tristan got battered quite badly.

Aden is not amused. "More zombies. Beautiful. Well, time to start slaying."

He moves in front of some, and hits a Rotter. It looks promising

Tristan allows himself to be pulled for a few steps before finally swinging his sword at the zombie that grabbed him in a mighty attack.

The zombie was pushed back by Tristan's strike, but rather than stay pushed, it swayed forward and shambled up to the paladin, circling around him.

Meanwhile, the group holding down Saliak grew as a zombie diverted its course to the gathering, managing to land a blow on the Dragonborn. Another one tried to push past and into a suitable position to strike, but Saliak's quick reactions saw it smashed to the ground.

Saliak was relatively unworried about being moved about. The zombie smelled of course, but so did the swamp. He looked briefly around the battlefield while he was being held. That construct that used to be Tristan...I suppose I should heal it. Although it would be interesting to see if it can die again. Better not risk it. But first, let's deal with things a little closer to home. Any hair on the zombie started to stand on end as the dragonborn prepared to attack.

The two zombies flanking the gravecrawler convulsed and quite literally fell apart from the lightning blast, but the gravecrawler itself seemed unimpressed by Saliak's efforts, still holding on firmly despite the blows he landed on it. Meanwhile, another zombie shambled up to Tristan and tried to attack him, but missed.

Choices, choices...
Ma'kirr mused over the fact her party was being separated, or at least the zombies were attempting to do that. Swiftly she swooped in to assist Aden. Bringing her spear in a low arc, she sliced at the Gravecrawler's legs. It would be amusing to see it try and drag someone now when all it could reach was their ankles. Seeing it still trying to grab her and Aden, she quickly stomped on it several times before kicking it away and turning her attention elsewhere.

- "Go get 'em tiger, they're no match for you!" - Ryltar shouted Tristran's way then laughing madly moved to put some more hurt on the zombie Ma'kirr wasted moments ago.

The gravecrawler that had first attacked Tristan was knocked down by Ma'kirr, and subsequently finished off for good by Ryltar. On the other hand, the zombies surrounding Tristan kept flailing at him, at least one of the blows hitting cleanly, making itself felt. The zombie gripping Saliak, on the other hand, tried to pull the Dragonborn's arm off, but couldn't quite seem to manage it... it still held on firmly, though.

"This just keeps getting better and better! Ryaltar, Ma'kirr! I want you two to assist Tristan, and I'll help Saliak! GO!"

Aden breaks off to move into position. He mutters to himself "Now's the time for some heroics." Then yells"Saliak! I got you covered! Hold on!" Then he runs full steam as fast as he can at a rotter near Saliak, yelling at the top of his lungs like a madman: "YOU SHAL BE SLAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIINNNN!!!!" and then bringing his sword down hard on the zombies shoulder, hoping to cleave the abomination in two.

Surrounded by the undead, Tristan briefly intoned something, likely some sort of prayer, and stabbed the gravecrawler he challenged with all his might. The blade left some sort of trail, like a faint, azure shimmer  before in sunk into rotten flesh.

Aden cut the rotter in two at the waist, both halves tumbling into the murky swampwater with a splash. The gravecrawler near Tristan fared little better, falling back into another murky pool - only a pair of slightly twitching arms were left sticking out above the water.

"While I appreciate you've not had much close contact since your death, I feel this embrace has gone past the point of comfort."

Saliak decided to work the strain put on his arm by the zombie with the best exercise: swinging his warhammer.

Despite the rude brushing off and even ruder hammer blow, the gravecrawler remained standing, though it looked a bit worse for wear.

Over on the other side of the swampy battlefield, one of the two remaining rotters landed another blow on Tristan.
