Can anyone give us a hint on how to pick UP the DS? Is there ALWAYS a way to pick up a DS if you randomly find one without expecting it? (say on an Ao100/AAo666 run)

DS is now sitting here on floor 254 of my current AAo666 run. Berserker Armor is in my inventory. I've already fucked up YAAM. I have levels in Brute.

that being berserk was part of the requirements, and burned a few medkits trying to make that happen on the lava without success. Didn't want to use too many and jeopardize the rest of the run, so I gave up after a bit.

Gonna hope for a second spawn and try it again with more opportunities to test under those conditions.

you can't get Berserk from lava bath - only 12 dmg not enough for that. Or you need 40 hp max (you must get 25% or more dmg from hp_max at once)

36 HP max, actually.  You have to take one-third of your max HP to trigger the berserker bonus.

And here I thought it was random. Welp, good to know. Gotta leave stuff alive if I want to explore that possibility. Maybe a Cyberdemon or something, those always seem to set it off despite doing no actual damage.

The Inquisitor's set is a beautiful thing.

36 HP max, actually.  You have to take one-third of your max HP to trigger the berserker bonus.

I question that.
The reason is that I've had Berserker, no points into Ironman, taking a missile hit from Revenants that deal no more than 2-4% from my health and I get Berserk'd. 4% of 50 HP is not that much.
